On 8 August 2024, H.E. Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, attended the ASEAN Day to celebrate the 57th Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN at the Indonesian residence. The ceremony was hosted by H.E. Mr. Teuku Faizasyah, Ambassador of Indonesia, as Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Oslo (ACO).
H.E. Ms. Maw Maw, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Enrico T. Fos, Ambassador of the Philippines, H.E. Mr. Dinh Nho Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Norway together with H.E. Mr. Akira Sugiyama, Ambassador of Japan to Norway, Ms. Tone Elisabeth Bækkevold Allers, Chief of Protocol and Director General, Department for Protocol, Cultural Relations and Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sverre Myril, member of parliament for Akershus and member of the Delegation to the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP), and representatives from the Embassies of ASEAN countries in Oslo attended the ceremony.
The Ceremony started with the joint singing of the ASEAN Anthem. Then, Ambassador of Indonesia delivered his remarks, addressing the importance of ASEAN Day, and invited ASEAN Ambassadors, Chief of Protocol, and other participants for a photo session.
