Legalisation of Employment Agreement at the Royal Thai Embassy, Oslo

In order to protect Thai nationals who wish to work overseas the employee needs to have an employment contract legalised by the Royal Thai Embassy as part of the registration at the Department of Employment, the Ministry of Labour of Thailand at least 15 days before departure from Thailand.

The embassy requires the following step-by-step procedure to be followed to legalise the Employment Agreement

  1. Both the employee and the employer are advised to sign or initial their name on the Agreement. Certify the genuine signature of the Employer at the local Notary Public (Tinghus/Tingrett).

  2. Legalise the documents by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. After that the signed and authorised employment contract can be submitted further to the Embassy for legalizing the signature of the officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please note that original employment contract is required. Scanned file sent to the Embassy by Email cannot be accepted.

  3. Applicant may submit the application in person or assign a representative and provide a power of attorney letter, thereby requiring that applicant make an appointment in advance via booking system ( Legalisation - สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโล).
