On 27 July 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, led officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo in a volunteer activity to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua 28 July 2026 by donating consumer goods and clothes to the members of the local community in Drammen who lost their houses from a fire incident last week. The activity was held at Wat San Pong Meditation Center in Hokksund.

 

During the event, Ambassador Nitivadee expressed her heartfelt condolences and conveyed her moral support to those affected by the fire.

 

The recent fire incident in Drammen was one of the worst fire incidents in a century of Norway. More than 100 houses and residents were burned down, including a house of Thai national living in Drammen.
