On 26 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo, together with Wat Thai Norway, organized activities to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua 29 July 2026. The event was attended by Her Excellency Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, as well as diplomats and spouses, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo.

 

Most Venerable Phra Ratwachirasatsanavithes, Abbot of Wat Thai Norway and Chairman of the Union of Thai Sanghas in Europe, as well as Buddhist monks from Thai temples in Nordic region and Thai community in Norway also attended the event.

 

On this occasion, Her Excellency Ambassador Nitivadee presided over the ceremony and paid respect to the image of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, and performed the Buddhist ceremony. Her Excellency Ambassador Nitivadee and officials from the Embassy also offered Buddhist monk’s robe and alms to the Buddhist monks.

 

Later on, Ambassador Nitivadee led the diplomats to give an oath in front of the image of His Majesty the King and, together with the Thai community, sang the Royal anthem and Hymn to the Righteous King.

 

Her Excellency Ambassador Nitivadee also joined the Thai community in Norway to offer food for the Buddhist monks.
