On April 4th, 2022 Mr. Monsak Jangariyawong, Minister Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo, and Miss Kanoknapat Suksong, Researcher and Coordinator, Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU) in Norway, attended Nor-Shipping Ocean Leadership Conference, as a part of Nor-Shipping 2022 Exhibition from 4-7 April 2022 at NOVA Spektrum, Lillestrøm. The theme of this year’s Conference is #ACTION which showcases concrete examples of actions that companies have taken to manage existing challenges and explore innovative ways companies can build more resilient, profitable and environmentally responsible business models to survive and thrive.
Mr. Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran, Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, delivered an opening remarks at the Conference which was attended by representatives from the government and private sectors involved in the shipping industry, to discuss important issues particularly the promotion of closer collaboration among the relevant agencies towards green transition and the use of various new innovations as Norway is leading the way in green shipping.
Nor-Shipping is an important international event for leading maritime players, technology innovators, investors, and all the stakeholders involved in the global shipping industry. Over 50,000 participants from around the world are expected to take part in this international conference and exhibition which showcases product and services as well as opportunities for business networking. This year’s event offers various technologies and innovation to reduce pollution. Norway is the world's fourth largest shipping nation measured by value. Nor Shipping is one of the World’s three largest events in the maritime industry.
