On 22 April 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, received a delegation from Bunditpattanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts and Baan Thaisiri Academy, which traveled from Thailand to Norway to promote Thai arts, Thai dance and music. On this occasion, Mrs. Laddawn Sripirom, Head of the Thai Dance and Music Association in Norway, together with members of the association, also attended the meeting.
Ambassador Nitivadee along with the delegation from the Institute and the Thai Music and Dance Association in Norway later held a rehearsal session in preparation for an upcoming cultural performance showcasing Thai artistic heritage, which has been inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The performance is scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026, at Kronesalen (4th floor), Sentralen.
Following the rehearsal, Ambassador Nitivadee presented certificates of appreciation to the delegation from Bunditpattanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts and Baan Thaisiri Academy in recognition of their contributions in promoting Thai culture, arts and traditions which are a source of national pride. Ambassador Nitivadee also awarded a certificate and provided financial support given by the Consular Department to the Thai Dance and Music Association in Norway as a token of appreciation for their continued support of the Embassy’s activities to strengthen the capabilities of the Thai community.
