On 10 July 2024, H.E. Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, attended the 44th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Oslo (ACO) held at the Indonesian Embassy in Oslo. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Mr. Teuku Faizasyah, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Norway, as the current ACO Chair. H.E. Ms. Maw Maw, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Norway, H.E. Mr. Enrico T. Fos, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Norway, Mr. Dinh Nho Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Norway, and members of the ACO Working Group also attended the meeting.

 

The meeting exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interests and discussed workplans for 2024 such as ACO meetings with the Norwegian Delegation to the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) and the ASEAN’s Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) as well as with dignitaries in the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, activities on the occasion of ASEAN Day 8 August, and ASEAN Family Day 2024, which is held annually to strengthen solidarity and friendship among ASEAN diplomats and their families in Norway.
