On 11 October, 2025, Her Excellency Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Norway attended the state ceremony of the first Opening of Storting (Parliament) of Norway after the general election on 8 September, 2025. At the ceremony, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul was in audience with His Majesty King Harald V of Norway who presided over the ceremony.

 

After the ceremony, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul also took this opportunity to meet the cabinet members of Norway including the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Defense. She also talked with the members of the Parliament as well as the Thai people who worked at the Parliament.

 

Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul dressed in Chitlada Chud Thai since most of Norwegians wore Bunad, their national costume and to support the nomination of Chud Thai to be listed in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
