On 18 April 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo provided a mobile consular service for the Thai nationals living in Bodø at Thon Hotel Nordlys.

The embassy provided services on issuing Thai passports, Thai ID card, legalization as well as consulting regarding the consular matters. 50 people came for the service at Thon Hotel Nordlys.

 

On 17 April 2026, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, also had an opportunity to meet with Thai community in Bodø, in which the Thai community had expressed their appreciation that the embassy paid a visit to Bodø and provided the mobile consular service for the first time in 8 years.

 

Ambassador Nitivadee informed the Thai community that Ambassador had a discussion with the deputy Mayor of Bodø and requested the Bodø administration to take care of the Thai nationals in the city. Mayor of Bodø also expressed his interest to meet with the Thai community, which Ambassador Nitivadee had informed the Bodø administration to contact with the representative of Thai community for further cooperation.
