On 17 September 2025, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul led the officials and staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo joined with representatives from the Thai communities in Norway for the Merit-Making Ceremony to commemorate His Majesty King Rama VIII or King Ananda Mahidol's 100th Birthday Anniversary held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo.

 

Most Venerable Phra Ratwachirasatsanavithes, Abbot of Wat Thai Norway and Chairman of the Union of Thai Sanghas in Europe, together with the monks of Wat Thai Norway and Wat Thai Gardemoen, led the Buddhist in chanting of merit-making for His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol.

Ambassador Nitivadee also led the officials and the Thai community in Norway to offer food and alms for the monks after the ceremony.
