On 9 August 2025, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul led the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo to join the Merit-Making Ceremony on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s 93rd Birthday Anniversary, 12 August 2025, at Wat Thai Norway.

 

The ceremony, jointly organized by the Royal Thai Embassy and Wat Thai Norway, was presided over by Ambassador Nitivadee, with participation from officials, spouses, embassy staff, nuns, and more than 30 members of the Thai community in Norway.

 

Most Venerable Phra Ratwachirasatsanavithes, Abbot of Wat Thai Norway and Chairman of the Union of Thai Sanghas in Europe, together with the monks of the temple, led the Buddhist in chanting of blessing for Her Majesty The Queen Mother.

 

The Ambassador also led the Thai community in the flower offering to the monks on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which she initiated last year and continued taking place this year and joined the community in offering lunch to the monks.
