On 30 May 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organised "Experience Thailand: A Culinary Showcase" at Fisketorget, a renowned tourist destination in the heart of Bergen, to promote Thai cuisine among Norwegians and international visitors.

 

On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, joined the event and presented to the public the samples of Thai dishes. Chefs from the Ambassador’s Residence presented a live culinary demonstration featuring two vibrant dishes: Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad) and Pla Salmon (Spicy Salmon Salad with Herbs). The showcase was a resounding success, drawing over 400 attendees, with all complimentary tasting portions enthusiastically claimed within just two hours.
