On 4 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to the Kingdom of Norway signed the book of condolences at the Royal Palace in Oslo following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, and to pay her respects to His Majesty who had been lying in state in the Palace Chapel in Oslo.

In her message of condolences addressed to His Majesty King Haakon VIII, the reigning King of Norway, Ambassador Nitivadee expressed her profound gratitude for the kindness and graciousness extended to her by the late King Harald V, who had the honour of personally receiving and engaging with her on two occasions.

The first was in 2024, when Ambassador Nitivadee had the honour of presenting her Letters of Credence to His Majesty. The second was at a luncheon hosted by His Majesty for newly accredited foreign ambassadors, on which occasion Ambassador Nitivadee had the privilege of being seated close to His Majesty.

Ambassador Nitivadee also conveyed her best wishes to His Majesty King Haakon VIII for good health and strength, and expressed her heartfelt wishes for His Majesty’s success in fulfilling His aspirations and His steadfast commitment to doing everything for Norway — “Alt for Norge” (“Everything for Norway”).
