On 2 March 2025, Her Excellency Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, attended the welcoming ceremony to Venerable Phraphromsitthi, Member of Supreme Sangha Council of Thailand and Abbot of Wat SaKet Ratchawora Mahawihan, at Wat Thai Norway.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Phrarachsasanavides, Abbot of Wat Thai Norway, as well as Thai and Sri Lankan monks in Norway paid a respect to Venerable Phraphromsitthi. Thai community in Norway and Norwegian academics also attended the ceremony.
Sri Lankan Monks in Norway gave a blessing as well as conducted a Buddhist ceremony to welcome Venerable Phraphromsitthi. The Sri Lankan Monks also gave a Royal Robe granted by His Majesty King Chulalongkorn to Sri Lankan Buddhist temple in 1897 to Venerable Phraphromsitthi to further restore at Wat SaKet temple.
Ambassador Nitivadee paid respect and delivered welcoming remarks to Venerable Phraphromsitthi, on behalf of Thai community in Norway. On this occasion, Ambassador Nitivadee, together with the Thai community in Norway, offered the food and alms to the Venerable Phraphromsitthi as well as Thai and Sri Lankan Monks.
