On 7 July, 2025, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul, Thai Ambassador to Norway paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Kristina Sigurdsdottir Hansen, State Secretary, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. Ambassador Nitivadee expressed her appreciation to State Secretary for giving her opportunity to meet especially after the conclusion of Thailand-EFTA FTA; therefore, the Embassy has an intention to maximize utilizing FTA by reaching out to bring the awareness of FTA benefits to the Norwegians. Moreover, the State Secretary has been the MP from Nordkapp, the place that has been important to the relationship between the Kingdom of Thailand and Norway since HM King Chulalongkorn or King Rama V visited and inscribed his signature on the rock in Nordkapp. The State Secretary agreed with Ambassador for her initiatives on utilizing FTA and stood ready to render support. The State Secretary also expressed welcome Ambassador to revisit Nordkapp again.
