On 10 April, 2025, Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul hosted a working dinner for Ms. Kristine Ryssdal and Mr. Dag Ekelberg from Yara International AS. Both discussed the opportunity to further promote agricultural cooperation between Thailand and Norway, especially after the signing of Thailand-EFTA FTA, of which Norway has been part.

 

Yara International AS is the world's leading company from Norway in fertilizer production. In 1907 after His Majesty King Rama V's visit to Norway, Thailand, then Siam, bought fertilizer from Norway marking the first commercial cooperation between our two countries. Yara fertilizer has been well known in Thailand as Viking branded fertilizer.
