Announcement on updated measures reduction of quarantine days for travelers to Thailand from 1 October 2021

From 1 October 2021, the number of quarantine days has been reduced. Upon arrival in Thailand, all travelers must still be in quarantine in the Alternative Quarantine (AQ) hotels or stay in the permitted areas in the Sandbox Programme.


Requirement 

  • Travelers with proven document of being fully vaccinated must be in quarantine for not less than 7 days in the AQ hotels (for those who enter Thailand through Suvarnabhumi Airport) or stay not less than 7 days in the SHA+ hotels (for those who enter Thailand with Sandbox Programmes). The travelers must take 2 COVID-19 RT-PCR tests during the 7-day period.
  • Children, who enter Thailand with the Sandbox Programme with guardians with proven documents of being fully vaccinated, can stay in Sandbox areas not less than 7 days as same as the guardians. The children must also take 2 COVID-19 RT-PCR tests during the 7-day period.
  • Travelers with no proven document of being fully vaccinated, must be in quarantine for not less than 10 days in the AQ hotels and take 2 COVID-19 RT-PCR tests during the 10-day period.
  • Children with no proven documents of being fully vaccinated, must be in quarantine for not less than 10 days in the AQ hotels. In this case, fully vaccinated guardians are also required to be in 10-day quarantine with their children. Both children and guardians are required to take 2 COVID-19 RT-PRC during the 10-day period.
