During her first visit to Svalbard between 21-23 September, 2025, H.E. Ambassador Nitivadee Manitkul paid a courtesy call and discussed with H.E. Lars Fause, Governor of Svalbard on 22 September, 2025 at Sysselmannsgarden or the Governor's residence. Ambassador Nitivadee thanked for having her opportunity to meet the Governor during her first visit to Svalbard, the world's northermost inhabited area. She also mentioned about her meeting and gathering with the Thai community in Svalbard.

The Governor mentioned the freedom Svalbard granting to all nationalities to work and settle in Svalbard. He also expressed his impression to the Thais who previously worked for him. While the Governor informed that his position is appointed by HM the King not the politicians, the Ambassador shared the same views that the Thai Ambassador is appointed by HM the King. Ambassador Nitivadee also mentioned that she got a blessing to be appointed the Ambassador to Norway since the two countries have a long and cordial relationship which marks 120th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations in 2025. This strong relations paved a way by the bonds of the two Royal families longer than 100 years ago. They also discussed geo-politics and climate changes.

After the meeting with the Governor, Ambassador Nitivadee visited Svalbard Global Seed Vault (SGSV). In 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited the SGSV and deposited samples of Vigna beans at the Vault.
