เมื่อวันที่ 28 สิงหาคม 2564 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโลได้ดำเนินกิจกรรม Amazing Thai Fine Dining in Oslo ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ โดยมีเชฟจากร้านอาหารไทย 3 ร้าน เข้าร่วมสาธิตการประกอบอาหารและขนมไทย ได้แก่ ร้าน Asian Street Food จากเมือง Bergen ร้าน Thin Than Thai Restaurant จากเมือง Sarpsborg และร้าน Yod Siam Thai Restaurant จากเมือง Stavanger รวมทั้ง เชฟจากทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ด้วย โดยมีเมนูอาหาร ได้แก่ พล่าแซลม่อน ต้มจิ๋ว กระเพราไก่ ส้มฉุน ไก่สะเต๊ะ กุ้งสะเต๊ะ ยำเนื้อ แกงแดงไก่ โรตี และขนมลูกชุบ ร้านอาหารทั้งหมดที่เข้าร่วมได้รับเกียรติบัตรแสดงความขอบคุณจากเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโลด้วย

นางสาวกานติมน รักษาเกียรติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโล ได้กล่าวต้อนรับผู้มาร่วมงาน โดยกล่าวถึงวัตถุประสงค์ของจัดงาน Amazing Fine Dining in Oslo ว่า เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์อาหารไทยให้แก่คณะทูตานุทูตในนอร์เวย์ ชาวนอร์เวย์ และชาวต่างชาติในนอร์เวย์ และสนับสนุนกิจการร้านอาหารไทยในนอร์เวย์ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์แพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 ที่ผ่านมา โดยเน้นว่า อาหารไทยมีคุณลักษณะพิเศษเป็นการผสมผสานของศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมไทยอย่างลงตัว โดยเน้นคุณค่าที่มีประโยชน์ต่อสุขภาพ รสชาติอร่อย และความงดงาม

งาน Amazing Thai Fine Dining in Oslo มีผู้เข้าร่วมประมาณ 60 คน โดยมีนาย Robin Kåss นายกเทศมนตรีเมือง Porsgrunn ผู้แทนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตในกรุงออสโล 13 แห่ง เช่น เอกอัครราชทูตประเทศบราซิล บัลแกเรีย อินเดีย อินโดนีเซีย ญี่ปุ่น และเวียดนาม อุปทูตฯ จากประเทศซาอุดีอาระเบีย ฟิลิปปินส์ และเซอร์เบีย ผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศนอร์เวย์ ผู้แทนภาคธุรกิจและภาคประชาสังคมของนอร์เวย์ เช่น Museum of Cultural History มหาวิทยาลัยออสโล Plah Restaurant รวมทั้งสื่อมวลชนจากหนังสือพิมพ์ Thailands Tidende โดยได้สัมภาษณ์เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เจ้าของร้านทั้งสามแห่ง และผู้มาร่วมในงานด้วย

ผู้มาร่วมงานกล่าวชื่นชมการจัดงาน Amazing Thai Fine Dining in Oslo ชื่นชมรสชาติ และความงดงามของอาหารไทยที่ได้นำมาสาธิตในครั้งนี้ บรรยากาศงานเป็นไปด้วยความรื่นเริง ทุกท่านที่มาร่วมงานเป็น Friends of Thailand ที่มีความนิยมชื่นชอบประเทศไทย และอาหารไทย หลายท่านได้ลองทำลูกชุบด้วย #thaifooddiplomacy

On 28 August 2021, Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo organized ‘Amazing Thai Fine Dining in Oslo’ at the Ambassador’s residence.  Three Thai restaurants and Ambassador’s own chef participated in the event to present the cooking demonstration and prepare sample food.  The three restaurants were Asian Street Food from Bergen, Thin Than Thai Restaurant from Sarpsborg, and Yod Siam Thai Restaurant from Stavanger.  The dishes included Salmon tartare with Thai herbs and wasabi avocado purée, Thai spicy consummé with veal shank, chicken roulade spicy holy basil red wine sauce served with risotto millet salted egg yolk, compote variety of fruits with ginger and crispy shallots, chicken satay, shrimp satay, spicy beef salad, chicken red curry and roti, and kanom look choup.  The said three restaurants also received certification of appreciation from the Ambassador.

H.E. Ms. Karntimon Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway gave a welcome remark, informing the purpose of this event.  She mentioned that the Embassy organized this event to promote Thai food to diplomatic corps in Norway, Norwegians as well as foreigners in Norway.  This event is also aimed to support Thai restaurants that were affected by the covid-19 situation.  The Ambassador also highlighted that Thai food has a balancing mixture of Thai art and culture, which is unique in many ways.  It is also healthy, delicious, and nice looking.

About 60 guests attended ‘the Amazing Thai Fine Dining in Oslo’, including Mr. Robin Kåss, Mayor of Porsgrunn, Ambassadors of Brazil, Bulgaria, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam, and Chargé d’Affaires from Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and Serbia.  Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, business sector, and civil society such as the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo, and Plah Restaurant and the press from Thailands Tidende newspaper also participated in the event.

The participants appreciated the event, the tastes of Thai food presented, and the appearance of the food.  The atmosphere was cheerful and the participants admired Thailand and Thai food and were Friends of Thailand.  Some participants also practiced making kanom look choup.
